Comment from Danielle Cullen, Managing Director at StudentTenant.com:
“London house prices strike again! It’s a given that properties near to popular landmarks and the best amenities will make a bit of a bigger dent in your bank balance, but these prices for student only properties are a little extortionate.
It’s great to see landlords and property developers creating luxury spaces to appeal to students who can afford to pay higher prices, but I would prefer to see a more balanced pricing structure across the capital city. Over the last few years here at StudentTenant.com we have seen a shift in students attitudes towards property conditions, but I would like to see fairer accessibility for all students to such luxury.
Understandably students want the biggest and the best, and with football being one of the most popular sports in the UK, it’s unsurprising that there is a demand in these areas. Looking at these two teams though, there’s a huge difference between Arsenal and Chelsea property prices. If you factor in the cost of season tickets too, it’s definitely cheaper to be an Arsenal fan!”
